Lotions and Scrubs: 1-2%
Bath Bombs, Salts & Soaks: 5-10%
Candles: 6-12% (depends upon wax used)

The actual percentage you end up using should be based upon the IFRA maximum, the maximum your product base will accept and what % of fragrance it takes to make your product smell awesome! A good starting place is using the LOWEST of these three percentages.

EXAMPLE: 

Desired scent strength: 5%
Maximum CP base load: 6%
IFRA Maximum: 12%

This means you should start with 5% of this particular fragrance in your CP soap as that is the lowest of all three numbers. Remember, you are not limited to this percentage. You can use up to 12%. However, this is a great place to start.

It is the responsibility of our customers to ensure the safety of final product containing the fragrance oil by conducting all necessary tests. The IFRA standards are based on safety assessments by the Panel of Experts of the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) and are enforced by the IFRA Scientific Committee.
