Not sure how much fragrance to use in the product you want to make? First, you need to understand the maximum percentages that specific product base will typically accept.
CP, HP, CPOP Soap: 6%
MP Soap: 3%
Lotions and Scrubs: 1-2%
Bath Bombs, Salts & Soaks: 5-10%
Candles: 6-12% (depends upon wax used)
The actual percentage you end up using should be based upon the IFRA maximum, the maximum your product base will accept and what % of fragrance it takes to make your product smell awesome! A good starting place is using the LOWEST of these three percentages.
EXAMPLE:
Desired scent strength: 5%
Maximum CP base load: 6%
IFRA Maximum: 12%
This means you should start with 5% of this particular fragrance in your CP soap as that is the lowest of all three numbers. Remember, you are not limited to this percentage. You can use up to 12%. However, this is a great place to start.

Like with most of the oils I get from here, I don’t know what the original smells like but seeing that the top notes were pear and bergamot I immediately needed to get it. It’s a lighter fragrance out of the bottle but it’s been sitting in alcohol for a week and it’s already stronger and better than how it smells in the bottle. Such a girly fragrance but the leather softens it so it isn’t too sweet. Happy with my purchase!

If you like pear this is your girl! Immediately on first sniff, you get the pear. As it airs a bit, you get the other notes, and it mellows out, but you don't lose the pear and I love that!
OMG y'all I just HAD to come back and leave another review on this! I still have to do my soap notes, but Wow omg Y'ALL! I put this in a perfume at 20%. This is fantastic! Honestly, 20% might be too much, but the way it blooms! It's so layered, and I get it all! The pear is the punch at the beginning, but on the dry down you get so much depth. Now mind you, this is only after a few days so it may change a bit, but for now I would say it's a keeper. This could be an everyday fragrance or a date night fragrance.
