Not sure how much fragrance to use in the product you want to make? First, you need to understand the maximum percentages that specific product base will typically accept.
CP, HP, CPOP Soap: 6%
MP Soap: 3%
Lotions and Scrubs: 1-2%
Bath Bombs, Salts & Soaks: 5-10%
Candles: 6-12% (depends upon wax used)
The actual percentage you end up using should be based upon the IFRA maximum, the maximum your product base will accept and what % of fragrance it takes to make your product smell awesome! A good starting place is using the LOWEST of these three percentages.
EXAMPLE:
Desired scent strength: 5%
Maximum CP base load: 6%
IFRA Maximum: 12%
This means you should start with 5% of this particular fragrance in your CP soap as that is the lowest of all three numbers. Remember, you are not limited to this percentage. You can use up to 12%. However, this is a great place to start.

Angel’s Bread had a challenging start for me. Out of the bottle, the scent was sharp and sour—almost yeasty—and a few days of rest didn’t seem to change that. However, once I sprayed it and let it dry down on the skin, it really transformed. The off-notes faded, and the warmer, sweeter tones came forward in a much more pleasant way.
This one may not be love at first sniff, but it’s worth testing on skin—especially if you’re sensitive to strong openings. Definitely a scent that behaves better in wear than in the bottle.

I absolutely love this! It’s the perfect marshmallow vanilla icing. It smells exactly like the original to me. I need so many more! Used in body oils so far & the oil blends very well & isn’t too thick either. The scent is pretty strong as well & has no synthetic scent to it.
