Technical Instructions: Mixing Premium Reed Diffuser Base with Fragrance Oil
Step 1: Measure Ingredients
- Premium Reed Diffuser Base: Measure 70-80% of the total mixture volume.
- Fragrance Oil: Measure 20-30% of the total mixture volume, adjusting based on the desired fragrance strength.
Step 2: Blend Components
- Slowly add the measured fragrance oil into the reed diffuser base.
- Stir thoroughly to ensure full and even distribution. Verify that the fragrance oil is compatible with reed diffusers for optimal performance.
Step 3: Pour and Bottle
- Carefully pour the blended solution into the diffuser bottle, leaving sufficient headspace for reed insertion.
Step 4: Insert and Activate Reeds
- Insert rattan reeds into the filled diffuser bottle. Allow the reeds to absorb the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
- For enhanced fragrance diffusion, flip the reeds after the initial soak to saturate both ends.
Additional Considerations
Viscosity: Oils with high viscosity may reduce the wicking efficiency and hinder scent throw. Thicker oils can lead to reed clogging.
Solubility: Ensure the fragrance oil blends evenly with the diffuser base. Oils that tend to separate or remain unmixed should not be used.
Flash Point: Oils with a flash point above 200°F may not evaporate effectively, resulting in a weaker scent throw.
Vanillin Content: Fragrance oils containing vanillin may increase in viscosity over time, leading to potential clogging of the reeds. It is advisable to use high-quality, porous reeds to prevent clogging and rotate them regularly for consistent performance.
