Not sure how much fragrance to use in the product you want to make? First, you need to understand the maximum percentages that specific product base will typically accept.

CP, HP, CPOP Soap: 6%
MP Soap: 3%
Lotions and Scrubs: 1-2%
Bath Bombs, Salts & Soaks: 5-10%
Candles: 6-12% (depends upon wax used)

The actual percentage you end up using should be based upon the IFRA maximum, the maximum your product base will accept and what % of fragrance it takes to make your product smell awesome! A good starting place is using the LOWEST of these three percentages.

EXAMPLE:

Desired scent strength: 5%
Maximum CP base load: 6%
IFRA Maximum: 12%

This means you should start with 5% of this particular fragrance in your CP soap as that is the lowest of all three numbers. Remember, you are not limited to this percentage. You can use up to 12%. However, this is a great place to start.

We certify that the above fragrance oil is in compliance with the most recent standards published by the INTERNATIONAL FRAGRANCE ASSOCIATION (IFRA) as provided to us by our supplier.

It is the responsibility of our customers to ensure the safety of final product containing the fragrance oil by conducting all necessary tests. The IFRA standards are based on safety assessments by the Panel of Experts of the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) and are enforced by the IFRA Scientific Committee.

You can obtain the IFRA sheets along with other important documents under the "Downloads" tab. This information is updated yearly.

I am so glad I did decide to finally try this. The notes and description scared me off ( specifically the leather) but this is beautiful! I made perfume like always and usually let my family try before letting the perfumes macerate. What a beautiful vanilla note this ends up having! Yes, I do smell some leather at first, but it's not the way I would have thought - those who tried it definitely like it very much!

I get all the notes listed this is a really nice sultry vanilla with spice type scent. I can’t wait until it macerates to wear it this fall!
